I'm an accomplished engineer with eight years of experience building scalable, high traffic web services, and e-commerce solutions.

In 2013 I was the first hire at BloomThat and was responsible for designing and building a custom e-commerce solution to move the service off of Shopify. Building our application required me to traverse the entire stack, including database design, backend APIs, the customer-facing website, and mobile app. Over the five years I spent at BloomThat, we grew to a large company with over 100 employees but maintained a small engineering team with only two additional engineers at the peak.

After FTD's acquisition of BloomThat in 2018, I wanted to solve a problem we had with SMS messaging. BloomThat used SMS for order updates, support, and limited time offer deals, but we couldn't find a 3rd party solution that provided a solution to all of these needs and allowed us to continue sending from the same phone number. Knowing the current services available were either overly complicated or too expensive, we built Obeo.io to lower the bar and allow companies, both small and large start texting with ease.

My expertise is in backend development writing well structured testable code with a constant drive to improve stability and reduce resource usage. I have experience writing PHP, Ruby, Python, Javascript, HTML, CSS, React, and Node.js.
